Status: MISLEADING SPAM/SCAM
If you get an email like the example described below, do not click on any links in it. It is not from us. This email is pure spam. The sender is trying to make you think you must pay them to renew your domain and/or remain in search engines. Don't pay them anything, and don't click any links in the email. This is actually a solicitation email, as you can see in the very tiny faint print at the bottom of the email. They just want to charge you a lot of money for an "SEO" (search engine optimization) service. Paying these guys anything will not renew your domain registration, and failing to pay them will not affect your domain expiry or your existing search engine visibility.
By the way, they claim in the faint, tiny print at the bottom of the email to be CAN-SPAM compliant. They're not. The very fact that we have to repeatedly reassure so many people with explanations about this sneaky, misleading email proves there is nothing "clear and conspicuous" about the advertising nature of this spam.
